“We try to fix the outside so much, but our control of the outer world is limited, temporary, and often, illusory.”Matthieu Ricard
Our fast-paced, goal-oriented culture can deliver so many things, but true peace and rest is not one of them.
In Australia specifically, people have been witnessing a clear trend on the rise. From children and teenagers to adults, Australians are vocalising feelings and thoughts of stress, anxiety, or depression. These experiences are in fact very common to most of us, and are largely a manifestation of our busy lives and contemporary personal circumstances.
In these life situations, often we try to influence the things and people around us to improve our inner experience. Maybe we do this for a long time, and some of us will even do this our whole lives. But for long-lasting sustainable happiness and joy, the only thing we can have influence over is ourselves.
And so Tracy introduces Looking Inwards. A mission of spirituality, creativity, and personal freedom.
Based in Tracy’s local community of the Yarra Ranges, Looking Inwards offers meditation practices in a warm, therapeutic, and grounding group environment. She believes that there is nothing more important than you and your mental and emotional wellbeing, and that in our modern world we sorely lack a space for reflection, connection, and sanctuary.
For thousands of years meditation has been an answer for people dissatisfied with their present way of life. And in the current climate, people all over the world are seeking a deeper experience.
Meditation can be thought of simply as a way of reconnecting and waking up to the full experience of ourselves.
